The cakes are pretty good, faithful to Maryland traditions. But the crabmeat is not at all lump backfin, it's just stringy claw meat. I grew up on the Chesapeake crabbing. These are overpriced for their quality. I'd suggest going somewhere that sells legitimate backfin meat and making your own cakes, which is quite simple.

I've been sending these crabcakes and cream of crab soup to my mother for years. She raves about them as they are second only to mine. She is being from Maryland a Chesapeake Bay Blue Crab snob.

Stopped in to buy some crab cakes before leaving the island and I’m glad I did! Treated with kindness and hospitality by the owners and the crab cakes speak for themselves! Best we have had!

I sent crab cakes to a lot of our older family members for Christmas since they don’t really need anything & everyone raved over them and some went on to order them for their friends. Can’t go wrong with these crab cakes!
